Draft Federal Part 70 Permits for Sierra Resources, Inc. – Barham Ranch Stationary Source

The Barham Ranch Stationary Source is an oil and gas production operation located approximately three miles southeast of the town of Los Alamos. 

The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (District) has issued the following draft Part 70 permits to Sierra Resources, Inc.:

Permitting Action

These permits are the initial federal Part 70 permits for the Barham Ranch Stationary Source and regulate the production and processing of oil and gas at the facilities.  Once issued by the District and the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), these Part 70 permits will be valid for three years. The permits will be enforceable by the USEPA and the public.

Public Comment Procedures

A copy of the permit application, the draft permits, and support materials, are available for review from April 2, 2018 to May 2, 2018 on the District website and at the following location:

Only the federally enforceable conditions in Sections 9.A, 9.B, and 9.C of these permits are subject to public review. Comments on these sections should be submitted, in writing, to the District at the above address (Attn: Jim Menno) by May 2, 2018.  Issues relevant to the Part 70 permits raised during the comment period will be addressed in writing by the District as part of final permit issuance.
