All Clean Air Funding Programs

The District has a variety of grant and incentive programs designed to reduce air pollution and benefit public health.

Wood Burning Stoves and Fireplaces

Heat Clean, Save Green! Grant funds up to $5,000 when you replace an existing wood-burning stove or fireplace. See Woodsmoke Reduction Program.

Old Car Buy Back

$1,000 for your old car, pickup, van or SUV, 1995 model year or older. See Old Car Buy Back Program.

On-Road Trucks and Buses

Grant funds for a variety of on-road vehicle replacement, repower, and expansion projects including trucks, solid waste collection vehicles, transit fleet vehicles including urban buses, public agency, utility and emergency vehicles. See Clean Air Grants for On-Road Trucks and Buses.

Off-Road Equipment

Grant funds to replace or repower diesel powered agricultural and construction equipment. See Clean Air Grants for Off-Road Equipment.

Marine Vessels

Grant funds to repower commercial marine diesel engines. See Clean Air Grants for Marine Vessels.

Agricultural Engines

Grant funds to replace your diesel powered stationary agricultural engine. See Clean Air Grants for Agricultural Engines.

Infrastructure

Grant funds to assist with infrastructure installation and/or upgrades including electric vehicle charging stations, and hydrogen and natural gas fueling stations. See Infrastructure.

Landscape Equipment

Grant funds to assist with the adoption of zero-emission (electric) landscape equipment. See Landscape Equipment Electrification Fund (LEEF)

Teacher Grants for Class Projects

Santa Barbara County K-12 teachers can apply for $300 “Care for Our Earth” grants to conduct environmental service projects to save energy, save water, or cut traffic and pollution at their schools. See Resources for Teachers.

Lower Emission School Buses
