The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District is providing grant funds to benefit public health by cost-effectively replacing old, high-polluting equipment with newer, cleaner equipment earlier than required by regulation or through normal attrition.
The grant funds come from the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Carl Moyer Program, Community Air Protection Program, Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) Program, and California Department of Motor Vehicles surcharge revenue.
These grant programs generally follow CARB’s most recent Carl Moyer Program Guidelines, Community Air Protection Project Guidelines, FARMER Guidelines, or other CARB guidelines. All funded projects in the following seven project categories must comply with the requirements found within the guidelines for the specific program, including cost-effectiveness thresholds.
Projects approved for funding are required to use our Standard Grant Agreement template.
