The District regularly prepares and updates air quality plans in an effort to meet state and national ambient air quality standards. These plans provide an overview of our air quality, sources of air pollution, and identify control measures needed to meet the standards. They also influence a range of activities such as the development of our rules and regulations, transportation planning, and the allocation of funds for air-quality projects.
Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District will be closed December 25 through January 1, reopening on January 2, 2026.
