HearingTo consider a 90-Day Variance from District Rule 206, Authority to Construct 14500-10, Conditions 9.C.3.b.vi and 9.C.10.b.xviii submitted on September 2, 2025, for continued operation of the Anaerobic Digestor Facility (ADF) flare in violation until the repairs can be on the ADF flare blower components can be achieved.

The Petitioner applied for an Interim Variance concurrently with the 90-Day Variance Petition.  The Interim Variance was granted on September 17, 2025 and is in effect from September 2, 2025 through November 2, 2025, or the date a decision is made on this 90-Day Variance, or the date compliance is achieved, whichever occurs first.  The 90-Day Variance, if granted will allow the Petitioner enforcement relief from the date the decision is made on the 90-Day Variance, through November 30, 2025, or the date compliance is achieved, whichever occurs first.

The Petitioner operates the equipment at the Tajiguas Landfill located at 14470 Calle Real in Goleta, California.
