The District is required by state and federal clean air laws to adopt rules to reduce air pollution from certain activities. Please see the pages below to view our rules, track recent rule changes, and stay involved with upcoming rule amendments.

Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District will be closed December 25 through January 1, reopening on January 2, 2026.
