The Vandenberg Space Force Base is located on the south-central coast of California and is headquarters for the 30th Space Wing. The Space Force’s primary missions at Vandenberg are launching and tracking satellites, testing and evaluating intercontinental ballistic missile systems, and supporting aircraft and space operations. Vandenberg hosts several other Federal agencies that conduct activities independent of 30th Space Wing operations.
