Vandenberg Space Force Base is located on the south-central coast of California and is headquarters for Space Launch Delta 30 (SLD 30). The Space Force’s primary missions at Vandenberg are launching and tracking satellites, testing and evaluating intercontinental ballistic missile systems, and supporting aircraft and space operations. Vandenberg hosts several other Federal agencies that conduct activities independent of SLD 30.
