- Authorized the Air Pollution Control Officer to enter into a side letter agreement between the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District and the Service Employees International Union, Local 620 (opens in a new tab) to amend provisions of the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), including an extension through June 30, 2018; and
- Adopted a Resolution (opens in a new tab)amending the District’s Classification and Salary Plan to implement the provisions of this side letter.

- Received a presentation from Lily Brown, a recent graduate of the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management graduate program at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB), on a UCSB Bren School project, titled Investigating the Feasibility of Greenhouse Gas Mitigation in Santa Barbara County. - Received a presentation from Keith Malone of the California Fuel Cell Partnership on the role of hydrogen and fuel cell vehicles in California’s transportation future. (see Board letter (opens in a new tab) and Presentation (opens in a new tab))
- Adopted a resolution (opens in a new tab)authorizing the Air Pollution Control Officer to execute agreement ARV-14-038 (opens in a new tab)with the California Energy Commission for a grant to prepare a Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties Hydrogen Readiness Plan. - Report from Closed Session – William M. Dillon, Senior Deputy County Council, reported on item C-2, Alberto Rodriguez; and IL Highway Recycling, Inc., a California Corporation v. Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District, et al., Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara, Case No. 1487217 that the District prevailed and the lawsuit was dismissed. There were no other reportable actions taken.
